Most of you that are either starting a home business or searching for the right home business have heard about the importance of using a blog to enhance the visibility of your business and to build links to your business. This is a very important crosslinking technique that if done correctly will send a lot of traffic to your home business.

Once your blog is setup, we want to add relevant content that will spider web our crosslinking techniques that we have been applying with our articles and videos. Now we are going to show you how easy it is to add relevant content to your blog with just a few clicks.

Whether you realize it or not, the content for your blog has already been created, you just have to plug it in.

Placing Articles On Your Blog

1.To begin with, pull up one of your articles that you have already written. If you have not written any articles, now is the time to start because we are going to use them to add fresh content to your blog on a regular basis.

Your articles should be between 500 and 600 words max. Once you have pulled up one of your articles, we are now going to post part of your article on your blog.

To do this, click on the “Posting” tab if you are still in the “Settings” section of your blog account, or click on “New Post” from the main page of your blog. This will bring up the text editor for your blog.

Next you will insert your title of your article that you have already written into the title box. Next, copy and paste your article in the text editor box below the title.

Then hit return twice on you keyboard and add the following:

“To view more about my exciting home business go here:”

Then hit the return key again and insert your website address, highlight it with your mouse and make it a live link with the text editor.

Now if you want to change the text style, you can do that by just selecting the “Compose” tab on the right side of the text editor. To change you style of your text, just right click your mouse in the text box and choose “Select All”.

Then go to the “Font” menu in the text editor and select the font you want to use. When you are satisfied with the way your article looks, then click on “Publish Post”.

You have now posted one of your articles to your blog specifically designed for crosslinking.

Pinging Your Blogs After You Add Content

2.One thing that you will always want to do every time you add new content to your blog is “Ping” it. This notifies the search engines that you have made changes to your blog. To do this only requires a couple steps.

First you will want to go to a website that will ping your blog. Once you get to their website, you will fill in your blog name and the web address to your blog home page then click on the “Send Pings” button and you are done. You have now pinged your blog.

Remember that your blog is an important part of crosslinking when marketing online. This connects your articles and your videos together in one location. Each of these components used in crosslinking now have direct links pointing back to your website.

By using this marketing technique consistently, this will increase your search engine rankings for the keyword phrases you have focused your campaign around. The longer you apply this marketing tactic, the higher your search engine rankings will become.
